Dual Credit Classes are available at San Juan College, Navajo Technical University, and the Institution of American Indian Arts. Students can take these classes during their junior and senior years, beginning the summer after their sophomore year. Students can earn 1 high school credit for every 3 college credits. Dual Credit classes (tuition) are free, with exceptions for the books. Each student can get two classes fully paid (books, labs, supplies up to $75, codes) for during their high school career. Please see your counselor for any questions regarding dual credit.
Dual credit classes are college classes, so if a student does poorly or does not take these classes seriously, the grade will reflect on their college transcript. Some classes require pre-requisite classes or a certain accuplacer score.
